Galson's Ed Stuber part of Successful AIHA® Fundamentals of Industrial Hygiene Course
Syracuse, N.Y. - The American Industrial Hygiene Association® (AIHA), in partnership with the Indian Association of Occupational Health (IAOH), successfully launched their highly-rated Fundamentals of Industrial Hygiene (FIH) course in New Mumbai, India.
This is the third internationally-recognized course this year that Galson Laboratories' Ed Stuber, CIH, has participated in as an expert instructor on industrial hygiene sampling and testing methods. The FIH course used hands-on workshops and problem solving exercises as part of the comprehensive offering. You can read more about Stuber's experiences in Galson Labs Air Lines blog http://www.galsonlabs.com/newsevents/blog/ .
"As we continue to increase our global presence as a leader in industrial hygiene analysis, air testing and environmental health and safety monitoring solutions, we find that Ed continues to bring back valuable insight on international sampling and testing methodology with each trip," said Joe Unangst, President and CEO of Galson Laboratories. "By sharing his findings with the entire Galson Laboratories staff, we can provide better testing and monitoring solutions to our rapidly growing list of international clients."
According to Shyam Pingle, IAOH President, the AIHA initiative was "a great success. The faculty was excellent and very dedicated."
AIHA's FIH course is internationally-recognized by the American Board of Industrial Hygiene (ABIH), the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) and the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET).
The FIH course, which was conducted from October 11th through October 14th, was aimed at providing industrial hygienists with a comprehensive foundation through industry practices and training. Course director, Maharshi Mehta, CIH, CSP noted that "bringing the FIH to India allowed individuals in the region to benefit not only from the educational experience but also from the relationships being built between the AIHA, IAOH and NSC India."
Course instructors also included: Frank Renshaw, PhD, CIH, CSP; Toral Mehta, CIH; and Dileep Andhare, MD, AFIH, DHA. Program participants received essential OEHS resources, materials and the opportunity to network with local OEHS professionals.
